Joushou Mahjong Tenpai (常勝麻雀 天牌) is a Satellaview-compatible Slotted Cartridge game concerning the game of Mahjong.
Joushou Mahjong Tenpai is a Mahjong game that is credited to Game Arts and published by Enix. The game has been described as mediocre in comparison to other contemporary Mahjong games, and as exceptionally plain. The game displays some level of Satellaview compatibility as can be seen from its cartridge slot. Compatible data packs are considered likely to have been released. From within the game's internal submenus, a player can access a Satellaview option by opening the second option going down from the top-left, as opposed to the second one going right from the top-left, however without the associated Satellaview-data input, the only result is to get a message screen that forces the player back to the previous menu.
Slotted Cartridge usesEdit
Joushou Mahjong Tenpai read data from 8M Memory Packs which had previously been filled with data downloaded via the BS-X cartridge. Data for the Joushou Mahjong Tenpai cartridge was broadcast between October 13, 1995 and August 3, 1996.
The data which it loaded is categorized into this series of Joushou Mahjong Tenpai download data which was broadcast by St.GIGA for Satellaview subscribers.
